CONFIRMATION • FAITH • FRIENDS • A PLACE TO BELONG
High school is a big time in your teen's life. They're making new friends, becoming more independent, asking bigger questions, and beginning to decide what they believe and who they want to become.
That's why staying connected to their Catholic faith and parish community matters.
Life Teen is a place for high school teens to belong. It's a place to build friendships, ask real questions, have fun, serve their parish, grow in their Catholic faith, and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ that can become their own—not simply something they inherited from their parents.

Does your teen need Confirmation?
You’re in the right place.
At St. Thomas Aquinas, Confirmation preparation happens through Life Teen. Teens grow in their faith alongside their peers while preparing to receive the Sacraments.
Already Confirmed? Life Teen is still for you!
Need Baptism or First Communion? We can help with that too.
Not sure what your teen needs? That’s okay. Register them, get them involved, and we’ll help you with the rest.

What is Life Teen?
Life Teen is the high school youth ministry at St. Thomas Aquinas for teens in grades 9–12. And it’s not another classroom.
Life Teen brings teens together for faith, friends, fun, prayer, Catholic teaching, small groups, service, retreats, the Sacraments, and some pretty unforgettable experiences.
Some teens come because they’re preparing for Confirmation. Some are already Confirmed. Some have a strong faith. Some have a lot of questions. Some may be coming back to Church after being away.
There’s a place for them here.
Our goal isn’t simply to teach teens information about Catholicism. We want to help them know Jesus Christ, understand their Catholic faith, become part of their parish, and learn how to live their faith in the real world.

WHEN DOES MY TEEN COME?
Two Nights. One Life Teen. - Sunday, Wednesday, or BOTH!
SUNDAY LIFE NIGHT - 7PM
Our main weekly Life Teen gathering! Teens come together for community, games, Catholic teaching, prayer, small groups, and opportunities to grow in their relationship with Christ.
WEDNESDAY MIDWEEK - 7PM
A smaller, more relaxed night where teens can go deeper, ask questions, pray together, talk about faith and life, and build community.
Your teen does not have to attend both nights each week. And if you’re finding us in the middle of the year, don’t worry—teens can register and begin attending Life Teen throughout the year.

HOW DOES CONFIRMATION WORK?
Confirmation happens through Life Teen.
We don’t separate teens preparing for Confirmation from the rest of our high school community.
Instead, teens participate in Life Teen while moving through spiritual phases designed to help them learn the faith, live the faith, receive the Sacraments, and continue growing afterward.
Most teens begin in Disciples, move into Purpose, receive their Sacraments, and then continue into Apostles.
There are requirements along the way, including participation in Life Teen, Sunday Mass, retreats, service and parish life. But you don’t need to figure all of that out before registering. We’ll walk your family through it.

MY TEEN NEEDs BAPTISM OR FIRST COMMUNION TOO?
No problem. You don’t need to figure out which program to register for. If your high school teen needs Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, or a combination of them, start with Life Teen.
Your teen can remain with their peers in Life Teen while we work with your family to determine what Sacraments they need and what additional preparation may be necessary.

LIFE TEEN IS MORE THAN CONFIRMATION
Yes, we prepare teens for Confirmation. But we’re trying to do something much bigger.
We want our teens asking questions like:
How do I live my faith at school, with my friends, at work, and eventually when I leave home?
That’s why Life Teen doesn’t end at Confirmation.
After receiving the Sacraments of Initiation, teens enter Apostles, where they can continue growing in faith, prayer, Sunday Mass, service, community, and leadership—including opportunities such as JCore.
Don’t just receive Confirmation. Live it.
We want our teens asking questions like:
- Who is God?
- Who is Jesus?
- Why am I Catholic?
- Why do we need the Church?
- What does God want for my life?
