What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of interactive sessions that explore the basics of the Christian faith. Each session includes a meal, a talk and small group discussion, where no question is too simple and no answer is prepackaged.
Alpha is for everyone. Alpha is a practical introduction to the Christian faith, a place where guests explore the meaning of life in a relaxed, friendly setting. The course meets once per week for eleven weeks and includes a one-day experience in the middle. At each session, people enjoy great food, laughter and learning about the teachings of Jesus in a friendly atmosphere where no questions about life or God is seen as too simple or too hostile.

What do People Say about ALPHA?

John Betz II

I will never forget the first night we walked in and were immediately greeted and welcomed like old friends. Everyone was so nice and interested in me. I couldn’t help but think WOW is this God reaching out to me? All I had to do is come home and he was there waiting for me.

Terri Hall

I was unprepared for the many challenges of my Christian life. This is what attracted me to Alpha. My desire to be who God created me to be, to bring others to Christ, to be united with my fellow parishioners.    For me Alpha was the easiest and sure way to learn to live out the two most important commandments. Love God and Love your neighbor.

Matthew Allen

For me Alpha has been a pivotal part of my involvement with the church.  Being part of the church is a community and brings me closer to God.  Without being in a community my life had less purpose.

Byron French

Alpha has rekindled a fire in my wife and I that has changed our lives. Not only is our Church life more vibrant but our marriage has grown stronger. Through Alpha we have become more involved in the church our of love for God and for the parish community. We pray more and read the Bible more. All of this because we encountered God through the Holy Spirit in Alpha.
