"Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire"

St. Catherine of Siena

St. Thomas Aquinas has a long history as a missionary church in Rio Rancho, NM and in the Archdioces of Santa Fe.
We haven't lost that missionary spirit as we have grown and we approach youth ministry as the crucial mission field right in our own backyard.

Through our offerings of Life Teen (High School Youth Ministry), Summit (Bible Study), JCore (Disciple Leadership) and Purpose (10th - 12th grade Sacrament Preparation) we live to serve the youth community and empower teens to become more firmly rooted in the Truths of the Catholic Church.  We do this by allowing the teens to be themselves and allow them to ask any question that their hearts seek as we journey to encounter Christ.

Emmaus Journey

Our Yearly Theme

There were two disciples who walked away from Jerusalem after Jesus’ death. On their journey, they talked about the challenges they faced in the world ...and about how they were going to live in this  “new normal” ...they processed everything that happened and was happening but still couldn’t quite wrap their minds around it all.

They felt defeated. Their hearts were heavy. The future looked bleak. But defeat isn’t what Jesus had in mind for His Church.

Then the disciples met a stranger who entered into the conversation and changed everything.

Something changed in those seven miles between Emmaus and Jerusalem for those two disciples. Jesus  entered in, and transformation happened. It started in defeat, and ended at the altar.

We know well that this is a tough season for Teens.  But the journey is not over. Not even close.
