All Youth Ministry Programs have the option of being ONLINE or IN Person This will be selected during the getting to know you step.

We walk with your teen..

After Jesus’ death and resurrection, two disciples walked a seven mile road from Jerusalem to Emmaus. We don’t know where, but at some point  Jesus joined the two on the way  and made their journey His journey. Through various moments along the way those disciples were transformed profoundly and ran back to Jerusalem to tell others what they experienced.

At St. Thomas Aquinas, we believe that when a teenager encounters Jesus Christ on the road of their life they will be transformed and, in turn, they will share that message so that their peers can experience that same transformation.
We believe that accompanying teenagers and helping them become disciples and, ultimately, evangelists is a work  worthy of our best efforts.

We know that you believe that, too. You know and recognize the powerful evangelists young people can be and that accompanying them on the road to discipleship isn’t just a class - it is foundational to the journey.

Accompaniment requires time, energy, a financial investment for the right tools, patience, and grace. It requires mentors that we are present along the way for those moments of transformation. Yet, stepping onto that road with teenagers can be daunting, especially now.

It is easier to stay off that road and settle for a class that doesn’t require as much as accompaniment does - to walk, listen, answer questions, and ultimately arrive at the Eucharist. A book or video on its own will never be able to  walk the journey with them, but we will!

You don’t need to have all the answers, but you need to  take the first step, Register your teen for Life Teen at St. Thomas Aquinas and let us walk with them on the journey.

Our Theme this year...

It was a time of darkness for the Church — an age embroiled in suffering, fear, and isolation. And, then, God poured out His Spirit upon a small group of Jesus’ closest followers. The Spirit came in boldness and power, unleashing a new fire within the hearts of the disciples and the budding Church.

Armed with a critical mission, the early Church moved forward in faith and boldness. It’s that same Spirit — a spirit of power and love — that the Church of today must and will have to move forward, sharing the Gospel with the next generation. It’s time to come together, once again. It’s time for a New Fire in our homes, parishes, and culture. It’s time to call on the Spirit like never before and respond to the mission put before us.

Life Teen

Life Teen is a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide.

Life Teen is a comprehensive youth ministry program with a strong focus on the Eucharist. It follows the USCCB Doctrinal Framework for High School Catechesis.  It provides a place for teens to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way

The goal of Life Teen is to create an environment to lead teens into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church. It speaks to teens on all levels: emotional, intellectual, social, and spiritual.

The evening begins with a Mass directed specifically towards teens, which is followed immediately by the Life Night, which falls under one of three categories: catechetical, issue, or social. The primary objective is to encourage teens to realize a deeper relationship with Christ and to challenge them to live their faith as they carry out their daily lives. Teens experience this sharing in an atmosphere of love and acceptance from their peers and the adult leaders (Core) who are there to assist them in their journey

Teens Needing baptism & First Holy Communion should sign up for Life Teen.  During the Getting To Know you part, we will identify what Sacraments you need and guide you to receiving the Sacraments you need.

Purpose is our Confirmation Course for high school teens (grades 10 thru 12) and goes throughout the academic year. It incorporates the teens attending Life Teen  or having  attended at least 1 year of Life Teen.  Our team journeys with you and your teenager as they learn and grow in the faith getting ready to receive Gods Gift in the Sacrament

Purpose is a transformative approach to confirmation. This is not a sit down and get lectured to class, but a way to encounter Christ. We Focus on three big questions, “Why God?”, “Why Jesus?” and “Why the Church?”

Purpose is more than just a fill a box program. It is a whole new approach to sacramental preparation.

Our instructors approach each of these topic areas by raising the questions which teens must ask.
Tough questions, like:
Is God real?
Why is there Evil & Suffering in the World?
Why be Catholic?
Why tell my sins to a priest?
Why do I have to go to Mass?
Why did God Create me?
What is my Purpose?

October | Memento Mori
October 3rd, 2021
The balloons are up and the air got a little cooler. Every coffee shop is pushing their pumpkin spice flavors and youth ministry is starting to get into our natural rhythm. September was a blast, we had awesome numbers at Life Teen and some wonderful events. What is coming up this month?...

This   Lectionary-based   discipleship   group   is   designed  to  help  teenagers  gain  a  deeper  understanding  and appreciation for Sacred Scripture and the Holy Mass.

HOW SUMMIT WORKS - Every Summit  session  is  modeled  after  key  themes  from  the readings of the lectionary. There is a Summit session for every Sunday of the liturgical year, so we usually meet weekly to  prepare for the upcoming Sunday readings.

Each Summit   session   is   designed   around   the   four   movements  of  lectio  divina.  This  intentional  design  helps  teach  the  invaluable  prayer  of  lectio  divina  each  week  so  teenagers can continue to meditate and reflect on Sacred Scripture long after they move on from their Summit group

There are five parts to each Summit session: The Ascent, Lectio, Meditatio, Oratio, & Contemplatio,

The  goal  of  Summit  is  to  help  form  teenagers  as  disciples  of  Christ.  This is done primarily through intentional, Christ-centered relationships. Summit provides a context for evangelization and   catechesis   while   growing   in   relationship   with   a   teenager’s  peers  and  adult  mentors.

How do you want to partner with us, to bring Quality faith formation to teens?
