Adult Ministries Updates

 

RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS

(RCIA)

The second stage of adult Christian initiation in our parish, RCIA, will begin on Wednesday, 1/4/12, 7:00-9:00 p.m.  If you are preparing to receive any of the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and/or First Eucharist) in the Catholic Church and have completed Alpha or its equivalent, or, in some cases, are currently participating in it, please contact Jeannette at This email address is being protected from spambots. RCIA will be held at St. Thomas Aquinas School, 1100 Hood Road, SE.  We will meet in the cafeteria.  Please bring your Bible and something to write with; all other necessary materials will be provided.


NEW 2012 ADULT STUDY GROUPS FORMING!

  • Great Adventure: Adventures in Acts, 20 sessions, Wednesdays, 9:30-11:30 a.m., beginning 1/4/12, St. John Vianney Mission (1000 26th Avenue, NE, Rio Rancho).  Facilitator: Brenda Vogsland.  Study kit: $20. 
  • Great Adventure: A Quick Journey Through the Bible, 8 sessions, Tuesdays, 7:00-9:00 p.m., beginning 1/10/12, St. John Vianney Mission (1000 26th Avenue, NE, Rio Rancho).  Facilitator: Brenda Vogsland.  Study kit: $14. 
  • Catholicism, 12 sessions, Fridays, 7:00-9:00 p.m., beginning 1/13/12, in the St. Lucy Filippini meeting room (Panorama Plaza, 1594 Sara Road, SE, Suite J, Rio Rancho).  Facilitator: Jeannette Schlicher.  Study kit: $24. 
  • Great Adventure: Revelation, 11 sessions, Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m., beginning 1/5/12, St. Thomas Aquinas Religious Education Center, room 10.  Facilitator: Natalie Cimarron.  Study kit: $15.25.

WELCOME HOME!

All of us have Catholic relatives and friends who are inactive (or only occasionally active) in the Faith.  Invite and accompany them to Discovering Christ, a seven-week, small group experience focusing on the Person of Jesus Christ, the Founder—and Foundation—of Catholic Christianity.  Discovering Christ will begin on Thursday, 1/12/12, at 7:30 p.m., in the Religious Education Center.  Please contact Jeannette at This email address is being protected from spambots.
