The world in which the young are called to live and gives witness to the faith which catechesis seeks to deepen and strengthen is governed by adults: the faith of these adults too should continually be enlightened, stimulated and renewed, so that it may pervade the temporal realities in their charge. Thus, for catechesis to be effective, it must be permanent, and it would be quite useless if it stopped short just at the threshold of maturity, since catechesis, admittedly under another form, proves no less necessary for adults.”

EVANGELISM/PRIMARY PROCLAMATION
The Alpha Course (“Alpha for Catholics”)
Our 18-week “Alpha for Catholics” runs year-round on Tuesday nights and is for all adults! Alpha classes are available as partial preparation for those in sacramental preparation (i.e. first holy communion, confirmation, etc.) and for those in the pre- and early catechumenate phases of the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). Volunteers are always needed. Childcare is available! Please see the Alpha page for details.

Adult Ministries maintains the literature racks located inside every entrance to the church. All literature donated for the racks must be reviewed and approved or it will be removed.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)
RCIA meets on Sunday mornings from early January until Pentecost and is available for adults who entering the Catholic Church or are converts to the Catholic faith.

Welcoming Team
The Welcoming Team contact newly-registered parishioners to meet and welcome them to our parish. They give each household a packet of information and a small crucifix, personally blessed by the pastor as a gift. Volunteers are always needed!

Catechist Development
Training is available for adults interested in catechesis. In addition to catechetical training, the classes will touch on educational psychology and training methods gears specifically for adults.

St. Thomas Aquinas Adult Catholic Theology School (ACTS)
ACTS continues to present adult catechesis opportunities for our parishioners. Classes meet on announced Mondays from 7:00-9:00 p.m in D'Arco Hall.
